Objectives and contents
- Integrating an openSAFETY safe node (slave) in Automation Studio
- Commissioning the safe node (slave) with the B&R system
- Interaction between the device description and device firmware
- Implementing an openSAFETY device profile / Implementing a specific application (example application)
- Error handling and diagnostics
Tasks include
- Participants will learn how to start up the openSAFETY over POWERLINK reference implementation.
- They will create device description files (OSDD) for integration in development environments.
- They will learn about configuring core openSAFETY software components.
- They will diagnose openSAFETY at an application and packet level.
