  • Integrating an openSAFETY safe node (slave) in Automation Studio
  • Commissioning the safe node (slave) with the B&R system
  • Interaction between the device description and device firmware
  • Implementing an openSAFETY device profile / Implementing a specific application (example application)
  • Error handling and diagnostics

Tasks include

  • Participants will learn how to start up the openSAFETY over POWERLINK reference implementation.
  • They will create device description files (OSDD) for integration in development environments.
  • They will learn about configuring core openSAFETY software components.
  • They will diagnose openSAFETY at an application and packet level.
