If you don't already have a functioning Windows CE, Windows XP Embedded, Windows Embedded Standard 2009 or Windows Embedded Standard 7 installation, please contact your B&R representative. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Version 3.20.1 / 29.06.2011 ---------------------------------------------------------------- Changes - The support for B&R USB Media Drives with a revision F0 or higher has been added. - Support for Windows 7 has been added. - Compatible disk images can now be restored on smaller CompactFlash cards. - The processing time when you restore a very large disk image (using the function "Recreate") has been shortened. - Support of 16GB CompactFlashes - Performace optimization for "Run Action" if new option compatibility point "Disable Action Acceleration" is disabled. - New file format for image files. Change of the file extension for image file to "*.eo2". Image files of older versions "*.eoi" can be restored! - New Action type "Install setup files of Windows Embedded Standard 7 to an USB memory stick". Error corrections - The file manager is now able to show the correct icons for the following hidden partition types: NTFS, FAT12 and FAT32 Extended Int. - During the restore process of a disk image (using the method "Recreate") the operating system "Windows XP Professional" has been detected as "MS-DOS". The problem has been fixed. - The handling of nameless partitions has been improved. - If Windows XP Embedded has been installed on CompactFlash cards bigger than 1GB, insufficient memory has been reserved for the write filter. The problem has been fixed. - The FAT32 file system errors concerning the folders "." and ".." have been fixed. - The times of the files on the CompactFlash cards are different to the times of the original files. Depending on summer time and winter time the difference was one or two hours. The problem has been fixed. - The action "Install B&R Windows CE5.0/6.0 to a CompactFlash card" has falsely copied all files of the operating system folder to the CompactFlash card. The error has been corrected. Now only the files NK.BIN, LOGOXRES.BMP, LOGOQVGA.BMP and BLDR will be copied to the CompactFlash card. - Image with wrong disk geometry can be restored now. |

If you don't already have a functioning B&R Windows CE or Windows XP Embedded installation, please contact your B&R representative. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Version 3.10 / 24.06.2009 ---------------------------------------------------------------- Changes - The notation "B&R BIOS Update" has been changed to "B&R upgrade". - The support for B&R 8GB CompactFlash cards has been added. - The following actions have been added: * Install Windows 95/98/Me MS-DOS to a CompactFlash card * Install a B&R upgrade to a CompactFlash card - The last used path to the operating system files will be recovered after restart. - The following partition types will be correctly identified and shown in the "Partitions & Application Data" tab: FAT12, FAT12 Hidden, EXT2 and Linux Swap. - The "Disk Image Compression" is now turned off by default. Use "Tools > Options" to configure the "Disk Image Compression" for your needs. - The option "Use MS-DOS compatible partition names" has been added. This option is activated by default. - Write access rights in the operating system folder aren't needed anymore to set the file attributes of the operating system files. Error corrections - Even though the operating system files did not fit on the device no error messagebox has been created. A suitable error message has been added. - Even though the advanced OS configuration was disabled the Windows CE specific advanced configuration settings have been used. This problem has been fixed. - The filedate of a bootloader file will be correctly applied. - The description of the first column header at the "Partitions & "Application Data" has been fixed. - A workaround for the support case 197425 has been added. This workaround fixes a graphical problem of the .NET Framework 3.5 TrackBar control. - Using the action "Install customer specific Windows CE5.0/6.0 to a CompactFlash card" concurrent with a hidden first partition created a warning message box. This warning has been removed. |
