Description:

The function "Programmed moving frame" offers the possibility to couple coordinate systems to moving axes. Robots can be programmed together with gantry systems or moving workpiece tables. This means that a robot or product can always be optimally aligned during processing. One license is necessary for each axis group.

Typical applications:
  • Separation processes (laser cutting, water jet cutting)
  • Cutting processes (milling, turning, drilling)
  • Joining production processes (welding, gluing)
  • Robots mounted on transfer axes
Functional scope:

With a programmed moving frame, the translation or rotation of a frame can be coupled directly to a slave axis. This can be a movable workpiece holder, or a robot can be mounted on an additional movable axis, for example. With programmed moving frames, it is possible to perform movements in a moving frame. For example, the translation or rotation of a product frame can be programmed together with the movement of the tool in this product frame. It is also possible to program the position of the robot together with the position of the tool mounted on the robot.
