Powerful motor control modules in a compact design

The new ACOPOS X family provides machine builders with more options within a compact package. They provide seamless control of low voltage stepper and brushless DC motors (ACOPOS X2) or servo motors (ACOPOS X4), with support for one, two or four axes. Embedded encoder support, integrated STO, and SafeMotion support, make the ACOPOS X2 and ACOPOS X4 ideal options for providing flexibility and safety in applications with lower power ranges. Both ACOPOS X2 and X4 modules plug into the slice-based X20 system just like any standard X20 module, and increases the system’s versatility by providing support for different motor types and encoder types from the same module.

The ACOPOS X2 can control two stepper motors or brushless DC motors – or a combination of both – with  a total power range up to 1 kW, all within a compact footprint. It is smart, safe, and versatile, and ideal for simpler applications such as positioning products on packaging or metals production lines.

Release 3/2027 - Control four motors from a single device

ACOPOS X4 offers improved precision control plus integrated SafeMotion technology. ACOPOS X4 can control up to four servo motors from a single module with a total power range up to 1 kW. A cycle time of 50 μs ensures a high degree of responsiveness and accuracy, while the compact footprint provides an overload factor up to twice the nominal current in a smaller package that reduces cabinet footprint by up to 30% in an eight-motor configuration.
