mapp Services sets up the entire infrastructure of a machine. It allows services such as user, alarm and recipe management to be created quickly and easily, for example. The basic license for mapp Services contains the components mapp AlarmX, mapp File, mapp IO, mapp J1939, mapp Backup, mapp Recipe, mapp Alarm, mapp User and mapp Skyline.

Functional scope:

The mapp Services base license consists of a wide range of components that can be quickly and easily configured and put into service.

mapp AlarmX implements an alarm management system. Alarms from other mapp components are collected and displayed automatically. User-defined alarms are created in the configuration. The alarm behavior, alarm message and much more can be configured for each of these user alarms. Different reactions can also be defined per user alarm. For example, an SMS text message can be sent using mapp Tweet. It is possible to store additional information. This could be a PDF file, for example, that explains how the alarm can be corrected. The alarm history can be exported as a CSV file to a storage medium. Current and historical alarms can be displayed using a mapp View or VC4-based HMI application. The alarm message can be displayed and exported is different languages.

mapp Recipe is used to create a recipe management system. It is possible to define which process variables should be saved in which recipes. Recipes can be saved on a USB flash drive as a CSV or XML file, for example. It is possible to store recipes with password protection and protection from tampering. Recipes can be displayed visually and managed. In addition, changes in the recipe system can be logged automatically by mapp Audit. If a new recipe is created or a parameter modified, therefore, this will be recorded in the audit trail.

mapp File is used to create a file management system. When setting up the component, the user can define a list of storage media that the file manager can access. The file browser can be displayed and operated via the HMI application. Files can be created, copied, deleted or renamed, for example.

mapp IO allows the hardware configuration to be changed at runtime. Which input and output modules should be imported is defined using an import file. If a file is imported, plausibility checks can be performed. These check, for example, whether the specified module exists and can be added at the desired position.

mapp J1939 follows the SAE J1939 network protocol. SAE J1939 describes the communication on a CAN bus system in commercial vehicles used to transmit diagnostic data such as engine speed, temperature or control information. The component makes it possible to send and receive data via the network protocol.

mapp Backup can store backup files of the target system on a USB flash drive or install an existing backup. The machine application can also be updated with mapp Backup.

mapp Skyline is used in combination with widget "Skyline". Using this component, a machine line can be clearly represented in a mapp View HMI application. The structure of the machine line is defined in the configuration.
