Packaging

Verpackung-003

The future of packaging

Convenience, individuality, emotional impact and intelligent features are decisive factors for packaging success in the future. For systems, this means more flexibility for both functions and materials as well as automated product and format changeovers while the line is running at full speed. Thanks to the most modern automation architectures and innovative networks, the highest performance for extremely small batch sizes is already a reality when you have B&R as a partner.

Integrated safety technology

openSAFETY is modularly structured integrated safety technology. Short cycle times guarantee fast response times in safety circuits. Intelligent electronics replace traditional safety wiring and allows coordinated safety reactions for extremely reliable and efficient production processes.

Product safety

Inline quality control as well as flexible labeling and product tracing are important tools for successfully validating your system. The total integration of all automation components in a central development tool as well as hardware components that can be identified clearly at any time form the foundation of complete transparency during development and operation.

Lasting value

A calculable development process guarantees the lasting value of your system. Configurable, predefined functions for different machine processes reduce the effort needed during development. In addition, you can implement individual customer wishes using internationally standardized software libraries and function blocks that are based on your own technological know-how. The scalability and compatibility of the hardware provide the foundation for reusability.

Uhr 24-7

24 hours a day / 7 days a week

For a packaging machine in a harsh 24/7 production process, a minimum amount of downtime is just as decisive as smooth automation. Intuitive diagnostic functions, open interfaces, worldwide availability of automation components and a reliable international partner are all combined to provide optimal support.

The line solution

Just like in sports, integrated production lines rely on the effort of the entire team. As a solution provider, B&R has the technology to optimize your whole system. Real-time industrial Ethernet is the foundation for synchronized interactions between individual sub-processes.

Open system architecture

Simple and seamless integration of machines in the production process requires uniform interfaces for operation, diagnostics, and data exchange. Using S88 to support batch connection is possible, as are machine designs that comply with PackML recommendations. B&R's relies on open, standardized structures for communication, programming, data handling, and functionality.
