ACOPOS 6D Series 3 – narrow segment expansion
ACOPOS 6D Series 3 is optimized for compact machine layouts and offers high repeatability with minimal space requirements – ideal for applications with tightly grouped shuttles. Series 3 has now been expanded to allow a single-motor configuration for both X- and Y-orientations. For machine builders and end users this facilitates more flexibility in layout design, with combinations of square and narrow segments.
It can also be used as a third lane. In practice this means that for a 300 mm shuttle with 8 kg payload, a customer can save up to 25% on costs for the motor segments, as only three narrow/square motor segments are required rather than the four that would be required in an assembly with only square segments. This can also facilitate more compact layouts.
ACOPOS 6D Series 4
Powered by the most advanced planar software platform, ACOPOS 6D Series 4 is designed for higher shuttle payloads (1,8–40 kg). Its larger segments make it suitable for larger layouts, with fewer segments required to cover the same area, requiring less cabling and engineering time, leading to cost reductions for the customer.
The solution’s six degrees of freedom (6DoF) provide almost infinite flexibility for designers to explore new layout opportunities, and transport objects in any direction, orientation and motion – without limitation.
The innovative magnetic levitation technology ensures no contact, no noise, and no wear on components or surfaces. As such, it also requires zero maintenance. Installation, configuration and programming are straightforward with no special tools or measurement devices required, and full integration with the wider B&R ecosystem means fast and easy commissioning.
