Logic scanner module 5LS182.8 is a PCI Express module. It supports plug and play and has 1 MB SRAM for remanent data (process variables and data objects). Memory available for remanent process variables depends on the CPU, Automation Runtime, etc.

5LS182.8 is a high-performance POWERLINK managing node solution in accordance with EPSG specification DS301. This integrated hub allows for easy implementation of either a simple tree structure or optional ring redundancy without extra effort.

With poll-response chaining, the module offers a solution for the highest demands on response time and the shortest cycle times. Especially for central control tasks, poll-response chaining in combination with the B&R control system provides ideal performance.
