Reporting to the UK Country Managing Director.

As Head of Sales, you will be responsible to coordinate and drive profitable growth by successfully managing your local sales and engineering team. Also giving a substantial contribution to design and implement a national strategic plan to expand company’s revenue and ensure its strong presence on the market.

The position implies the direct responsibility over the local sales and application teams in all their activities giving support to the business initiatives working in close collaboration with CMD by defining sales budget, targets, goals and relevant commercial strategies to achieve them in alignment with corporate’s objectives.

  • Implements the country sales strategy with the support and guidance of the CMD driving profitable growth and capital efficiency
  • Oversees the development of the annual sales budget for the country and ensures expenses comply with budget constraints while revenue meets or exceeds targets.
  • Ensures country is compliant with company's corporate policies and procedures.
  • Ensures profitable business growth within the Country by maximizing market penetration.
  • Drives Marketing, Sales and Customer Care implementing new functional processes and tools, to maximize efficiency.
  • Ensures provision of quality service consistent with company’s goals. Oversees and participates to quality assessment and performance improvement activities.
  • Shares responsibility for order received (OR) and order gross margin (OGM) and leads the identification and of Business opportunities.
  • Works directly with the CMD and other support staff to identify and resolve any relevant issues to improve efficiency.
  • Takes care of the most relevant customers in order to guarantee high level satisfaction and strong partnership while developing further relationships with existing and new customers.
  • Assists Office Managers in everyday activities with focus on HR aspects (e.g. development of talents, recruitment and succession plans) & Sales initiatives (e.g. events & industry shows).
  • Accelerates growth within the country by achieving excellent results and hit targets.
  • Oversees the development/enhancement of office systems/procedures to ensure effective operation.
  • Assures agreed services are maintained through efficient business and support functions, as well as shared platforms. Care standards and business practices making sure corporate policies and procedures are always followed.
  • Builds an effective, competent and high performing organization. Appoints sales and application personnel, with approval of the CMD and Application Manager and is responsible for their performance review.
  • Provide to CMD all the requested reports and analysis in the times and methods required.
  • Makes sure that the sales and applications teams follow important guidelines regarding Integrity and Safety in every situation.

  • Your background
  • Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or an equivalent discipline with 5-10 years’ experience in similar role.
  • Broad Experience with selling and supporting industrial automation projects.
  • Experience in leadership role.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing strategies and business plans.
  • First class interpersonal skills adapt at building and motivating high performance teams.
  • Strong strategic mindset.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Previous experience in industrial automation company is an advantage.
  • Strong ambassador for the cultural values within your organization.
  • Customer oriented approach, intuitive and fast reacting.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and working well under pressure
  • Track record of winning new customers with a potential of £250k plus
  • Confident and comfortable in communicating with customer C-Suite level
