BIOS Upgrade IPC5000C/5600C BIOS Ugrade for B&R 5000C and 5600C IPC's with Celeron and Pentium III processors. ---------------------------------------------------------------- UPGRADE PROCEDURE ---------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Extract the *.zip file and copy the files to a bootable disc 2. Insert the disk into the foppy drive and reboot the IPC 3. After the reboot there will be displayed a bootmenu with follow options: * 1. Upgrade Complete System - All 3 bios (Elite, VGA, MTC and FPGA) will be upgraded (Default after 5 sec) 2. Upgrade VGA only Only the VGA bios will be upgraded * 3. Upgrade ELITE BIOS Only the Elite bios will be upgraded 4. Upgrade MTC only Only the MTC bios will be upgraded 5. Upgrade FPC only Only the FPC bios will be upgraded 6. Upgrade FPGA only Only the FPGA setting will be upgraded 7. Start Upgrade Utility The Upgrade-Utility will be started, and the upgrade event can be carry out manual. Besides there are function like Verify and Save. 8. Exit Exit to Shell (MS-DOS) * If at the Upgrade of the BIOS the message "Switch Bootblock Write Enable to ON" appeared the DIP switch "BOOT WE - Switch1" must be set to ON. The Upgrade Tool tries to write on the Bootblock. If the switch is set to OFF the tool spends four long and then four short beep signals. This happens so long to the "BOOT WE - Switch1" switch is set to ON. 4.
