ETA280.0102-100 – Condition monitoring for vibration measurement
Modern machines benefit from continuous condition monitoring based on vibration measurement technology. This allows mechanical damage on the machine to be detected early so that necessary maintenance can be carried out. Depending on the application, the recorded data can be used for process optimization. The availability and productivity of the machine will increase as a result. This ETA system, used together with 0ACS100A. 00-1 and 0ACS100A. 90-1 acceleration sensors, allows all X20CM4810 module operating modes to be tried and tested in realistic situations.
The following list briefly describes the applications that can be simulated and measured using this ETA system.
- Areas of application and features:
- Detecting bearing damage
- Detecting periodic impacts
- Detecting an imbalance
- Detecting misalignment of the motor shaft
A faulty bearing was purposely installed in the ETA system. This allows the detection of a faulty bearing to be carried out.
A small metal plate can be adjusted so that it causes periodic impacts on the load.
Different weights can be attached to the load to simulate an imbalance.
The user can press down on the motor to simulate a misalignment of the motor shaft.
The X20CM4810 modules are connected to the X20 CPU via the remote backplane. This controls the ACOPOSmicro, which in turn drives the motor. In this case a fan with an imbalance and bearing damage is being simulated. There is a Plexiglas door on the load side of the structure, which actuates a solenoid switch. The solenoid is connected to the enable input of the ACOPOSmicro drive. Six acceleration sensors are installed at various locations in the ETA system, and are connected directly to the X20CM4810 modules.
