Our 2017 innovations are focused around the topics of Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things (IoT). As a special feature, we will be unveiling the intelligent SuperTrak industrial transport system. SuperTrak enables efficient production at any volume – even at batch size one. We will show you more at this year’s SPS IPC Drives.
Your B&R Team
B&R will be presenting the SuperTrak industrial transport system at the SPS IPC Drives trade fair. Dependable, precise and remarktably low maintenance – it enables agile, efficient production at any batch size. Other highlights on display at the B&R booth (Hall 7 / Booth 206) include a multitude of new mapp components and connected manufacturing solutions based on OPC UA communication. Let us give you a sneak peek at what awaits you in Nuremberg.
Today, OPC UA is fast, but not deterministic in terms of automation – with the publish-subscribe model, however, data exchange is a lot closer to what you get with a real-time system. Matthias Damm, head of the OPC Foundation's pub/sub working group explains the pub/sub model what effects the TSN extension has on OPC UA.
"We're going to be continuing our growth streak in 2016," said General Manager Peter Gucher at the annual press conference in the run-up to the SPS IPC Drives.
B&R's growth spans all industries, with packaging being particularly strong at the moment, as Gucher highlighted. Particularly in demand: the intelligent SuperTrak transport system, powerful servo drives and the web-based mapp View HMI solution.
