The TruBend Series 7000 holds the record for the fastest press brake in the world. This is a electric torque motor-driven sheet metal processing machines from Trumpf that makes bending faster, safer, more ergonomic and more precise. A complete drive and automation solution from B&R ensures safe axis movement at the highest speeds. Its introduction on the market was both swift and smooth.

The TruBend Series 7000 was a great step forward in development. As the fastest bending machine in the world, it also provides optimal ergonomics for comfortable operation and ensures a perfect human-machine interface.

ACOPOSmulti drive systems allow the TruBend Series 7000 machines to achieve their excellent ergonomics. Some of the ways that the modular system from B&R proved its value was through its clever wiring, sophisticated mounting technology and active power regeneration. With two-channel pulse-disabling in accordance with EN 954-1 Category 4, the ACOPOSmulti meets the requirements for implementing safety technology without the need for additional hardware. Safe motion control of the eight axes was able to be implemented using fast X20 I/O nodes on a high-performance APC620. The AR010 Soft PLC Automation Runtime kernel was selected as the automation operating system. The ACOPOSmulti drive systems are connected via POWERLINK. The decision to use B&R technology was made in large part because of the possibility of handling the entire automation system in a single development environment – Automation Studio.
