BIOS Upgrade for 855GME systems !!MANDATORY UPDATE!!

After the BIOS Upgrade you have to install
the 855GME CPU Board Graphicdriver version 14.8.01 or higher!

UPGRADE PROCEDURE
------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Extract the *.zip file and copy the files to a bootable disc.

2. Insert the disk into the floppy drive and reboot the APC620 /
PPC700.

3. After the reboot there will be displayed a bootmenu with
follow options:

1. Upgrade PHOENIX BIOS for i855GME- BIOS will be upgraded.
(5PC600.E855-xx) (Default after 5 sec)
2. Exit - Exit to Shell (MS-DOS).

4. After successful upgrade the system must be reseted.

- New Setup node "CMOS Battery" under "Baseboard/Panel Features","Baseboard Monitor" informs about CMOS Battery state.
- Updated BIOS-ID`s and Speed Stepping mechanism table for
Pentium M processor.
- If the "USB UHCI Host Controller 1" under setup page "I/O Device Configuration" is disabled, the system hangs sporadically duringboot by the IDE device detection. Also no function of USB or PS/2 keyboard is given.
