Usability and first steps
- New Startpage
The new startpage features easy access to sample projects,
tutorials and recently opened projects.<(><<)>br>

- New Automation Studio Help
The help system has been enhanced. In addition to intuitive
hotspot navigation on images, the search speed has also been
improved.

- New Motion Wizard
The new Motion Wizard makes it easy to set up stepper motors as
well as servo drives.

- Ethernet-Target Browser
Using the new browse function it's now possible to find B&R PLCs
in the network and configure them, even without valid IP
settings.

- Graphical User Interface
The refurbished desktop now supports autohiding and flexible
docking. The handling of workbooks has also been improved.


Diagnostics
- System Diagnostics Manager
This web-based dignostics tool enables easy access to diagnostic
data on the PLC. When creating a new project it's automatically
activated.


Programming
- FUP auto layout
When auto layout is enabled, function blocks are placed
automatically. This makes working with this editor even easier.

- IEC Enhancements
The IEC languages now support multidimensional arrays as well as
easy initialization of structures and direct bit addressing.


Visualization
- Trend Wizard
The new Trend Wizard makes it easier to use charts in
visualizations.

Communication
- OPC server on the target
This allows any SCADA package with an OPC interface to connect
to a B&R target. The server is configured in Automation Studio.
