PPC300 BIOS
------------------------------------------------------------------ UPDATE PROCEDURE ------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Copy all files to a bootable disk. (Alternatively, a bootable Compact Flash or a USB stick can be used. Detailed information can be found in the Panel PC 310 User Manual.)
2. Insert the disk in a (USB) floppy drive connected to the Panel PC 310 and re-boot the device.
3. A boot menu with following options is shown after booting:
1. Update BIOS => default after 5 sec
The BIOS will be updated automatically.
*********************************************** Write down your BIOS settings before upgrading! ***********************************************
After a BIOS update the BIOS uses automatically the CMOS default settings. If you have changed settings in the BIOS Setup you must change these settings again after update!
*************************** Do not abort a BIOS update! ***************************
Otherwise the Panel PC 310 cannot be rebooted afterwards and must be sent to B&R for repair. Retry the aborted update process WITHOUT rebooting the Panel PC 310, for example by directly calling batch file UPDBIOS.BAT.
2. Save BIOS (into directory SAVED)
The BIOS will be saved automatically in the directory SAVED.
*********************************************************** There must be about 256 kbytes free space left on the disk. ***********************************************************
3. Exit
Exit to the Shell (MS-DOS).
4. Select the desired action.
5. Remove disk and reboot device (after successful update only!).

Fixes: - BIOS: Bugfix regarding network problems on PPC310 devices: At high network load and BIOS versions smaller V1.06 it can theoretically be possible, that on PPC310 devices the network connection is lost. At the moment we have no known failure or reported problem.
