This battery module is used for central data buffering on the 2005 PLC. It comes equipped with two battery compartments for 9 V block cells.

The connection to the power supply module is made with a 40 cm cable. The cable is connected to a 5-pin terminal block. A second 5-pin terminal block is included in delivery. Taken together, the two replace the 10-pin terminal block on the power supply.

A single-width backplane module is delivered along with the battery module. This backplane module is installed to the left of the main backplane. The battery module is inserted on this backplane module, putting its location to the left of the power supply.

If a slot is free on the main backplane next to the power supply, the AC240 module can also be inserted there.
