Illuminated ring keys considerably improve visual components, provide more security, and should be present on all operator panels that control modern machines and systems.

B&R's illuminated ring keys are composed of a short-stroke key, a source of light, and high-performance LEDs. The main component is the luminous ring developed by B&R that provides even distribution of light around the key. This guarantees optimal readability and signal effectiveness even at great distances.

The illuminated ring keys have a total diameter of 25 mm, with a comfortable 16 mm for the actual pressing area. The short-stroke key with either embossment or a raised edge has a lifespan of at least 1 million uses. The LEDs are available in the signaling colors red, green, and yellow and can be combined as needed into one- or two-color variants. Legend strips guarantee a high degree of flexibility for key labels. Their use in the foodstuffs industry is also not a problem thanks to their hygienic design.

Illuminated ring keys can be controlled by the smallest terminal, an industrial PC, or over a fieldbus (e.g. ETHERNET Powerlink, CAN, or Profibus).
