CompactFlash increases system availability
05/04/2006
B&R offers the use of CompactFlash cards instead of hard disks for its APC620 industrial PCs and Panel PCs. This increases system availability considerably.

The mass memory media are extremely robust and can be obtained in the industrial grade version with 64 MB to 4 GB memory capacity. All data, ranging from the operating system to the application and data records, are stored there. If separate areas for application and data are required on the mass media, this is done with a combination of two CompactFlash cards. A CompactFlash and hard disk combination is also possible as an alternative.

CompactFlash cards from B&R are thoroughly tested for all target systems and operating systems before being released.
