During an extensive company tour, the governor was able to personally experience the innovative strength of the company
15/03/2006
Last Wednesday, the Upper Austrian governor Dr. Josef Pühringer visited the Eggelsberg-based automation specialists Bernecker + Rainer, one of the largest employers in that region.
Dr. Pühringer came together with the state parliament representative and mayor of Altheim Franz Weinberger, the federal council member Ferdinand Tiefning and the mayor of Eggelsberg Christian Kager.

In his company presentation, Josef Rainer remarked on the dynamic growth of the company, which he founded together with Erwin Bernecker in 1979. With the vision they had then, B&R has developed into an international company with over 1300 employees. Approximately 850 employees work at the headquarters in Eggelsberg, where all products are produced for worldwide delivery. In the coming years, large investments will be made in the Eggelsberg facility to keep up with further growth of the leading innovators in the area of automation technology. The delegation was happy to hear this because of the fact that it will result in the creation of additional jobs. Governor Pühringer appreciated the exemplary entrepreneurial spirit of the two company founders and commended the technological leadership that is secured through continual research and development activities -- Made in Austria.
