B&R, in order to popularize its automation solutions in academic and industrial environments, supports the Technical University by equipping the laboratory and cooperates closely with the Electrical Department during the organization of the education program.

The education on B&R systems includes:

• PLC controls
• Integrated controls with Power Panel HMI devices
• Local and distributed I/O
• Industrial networks (CAN, ETHERNET Powerlink)
• Programming in B&R Automation Studio (Automation Basic, ANSI C, IEC 61131 languages)
• Operation and service in B&R Automation Studio
• Visual Components
• B&R Automation Net (Process Variable Interface); Servers: OPC, DDE, Web, FTP, VNC
• Servo drives

The best students will have the possibility to take an exam organized by B&R and the Electrical Department. The exam will consist of theoretical and practical parts, and after passing it, the students will receive an official Certificate confirming their knowledge of B&R systems.
