Ethernet POWERLINK für sämtliche Aufgaben der modernen Automatisierung

Berlin - POWERLINK is among the different industrial Ethernet systems used in the USA, which will be distributed more and more over the next few years. The American (U.S.) VDC research group with headquarters in Natick, Massachusetts has specialized in market research and consulting for companies in the automation, IT and energy management branches.

In a current, internationally recognized study with the title "Global markets for industrial wireless and wireline networking infrastructure products" VDC Research investigates the distribution and market acceptance of cable-based and cable-free networking systems in different key industries. Results have shown that among Ethernet-based system on the American market, Ethernet IP, TCP/IP and Modbus TCP are the most common. Next to these systems, the highest rates of increase within the next four years are expected for POWERLINK and ProfiNet.
