B&R extended its wide range of plug-in modules for the ACOPOS drive family to include a module for evaluating BiSS encoders.

The BiSS fully digital bidirectional sensor interface is an open and license-free communication standard that allows sensor data to be read synchronously, securely and quickly. The BiSS interface is characterized by a high transfer rate and very good error detection.

These advantages make the BiSS encoder interface especially suitable for applications with high demands, for example when integrating fully digital hollow shaft encoders with large internal diameters or robust, absolute and linear measurement systems with high speed movements.

The BiSS interface plug-in card is a logical addition to the wide range of feedback options for ACOPOS drives and provides new possibilities when implementing challenging automation projects.
